2023 Eureka Springs Jeep Jam

The 3rd annual Eureka Springs Jeep Jam, sponsored by McLarty Daniel, was nothing short of phenomenal. From September 14th to 17th, the Jeep community gathered in Northwest Arkansas for food, fun, and off-road adventures. Read on for a quick recap of this unforgettable weekend!
This year’s event kicked off with trail rides through the picturesque Eureka Springs. On Thursday, Justin’s Exhausted Auto & Off-Road Repair led the way through gravel backroads and beautiful wooded scenery. Friday’s excursion, led by Backroads Mafia Merch, culminated in a mouthwatering reception at The Rockin’ Pig restaurant. Seeing so many unique and capable Jeeps in action was an absolute delight.
More Off-Road Destinations for You and Your Jeep
The weekend reached its peak on Saturday and Sunday, with more than 650 Jeeps converging for a massive celebration. The event grounds were buzzing with food trucks, sponsor tents, games, and prizes — collectible Eureka Springs Jeep Jam rubber ducks were even distributed to attendees! There was also a two-hour-long parade that celebrated the shared history, creativity, camaraderie, and enthusiasm of Jeep owners.
As if that wasn’t enough, awards were distributed in a wide variety of categories, including Best Modern Jeep, Largest Jeep Group, Best Extreme Modified Jeep, Best Vintage Jeep, Best Interior, Most Patriotic, Best Gladiator, Most Ducks, and more. Choosing these winners was not an easy decision, as there were a plethora of next-level themes and modifications.
What makes this event even more special is that it’s not just about celebrating Jeep culture; it’s about giving back. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event were dedicated to supporting Peterson Outdoors Ministries, a non-profit based in Joplin, Missouri. This organization provides outdoor recreational therapy for injured and recovering veterans, as well as youth and adults with disabilities or serious illnesses.
The 2023 Eureka Springs Jeep Jam managed to raise over $51,000 for Peterson Outdoors Ministries, a testament to the generosity and support of the Jeep community. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the sponsors, volunteers, committee members, and Jeepers who came together to make this event such a resounding success.

It’s summer in Arkansas. The humidity is at an all-time high. It’s early morning. You’re running late to work. You didn’t have time to start your car to get it nice and cool, so now you’re sitting in a sauna. Why did you even bother to shower? You’re now drenched in sweat, and your day hasn’t even started yet. Sound familiar? We at McLarty Daniel feel your pain and see your hot box of a car, but we’re here to help!
Stay Ice Cold with Cooled Front Seats
While we offer cool new and used cars, trucks, SUVs and vans to drivers in Bentonville, Springdale, Bella Vista and the greater Northwest Arkansas area, we have a few tips to keep you and your car cool this summer. No sweat, no gain, they say. Last time we checked, your car’s not a gym. So instead, we say happy temperature, happy life, right?
Let Your Hair Down in a Convertible
Before we jump right into our tips, we can’t stress enough the most important thing you can do to make sure your car is cool is to plan ahead. If you get in the mindset of knowing your car is going to be hot, you can then prepare ways to beat the heat. Check the weather forecast and the highs for the day. If you see it’s going to be a high heat index, make sure you allot time in your schedule to make cooling your car a priority. Now that you know to plan for it, we can help with ways to keep you and your car cool.
Follow these Tips to Keep Cool for the Summer:
Park in a Covered Area: If possible, park your car in a covered area like a garage. If your garage is full of other items, it’s time to declutter. Your number one use of a garage is to house your vehicle. It needs love, too and a space to call home. Don’t be lazy and leave it in the driveway all night. Tuck it in for a good night’s sleep, and in the morning, it’ll be at a manageable temperature compared to sitting in direct sunlight. If you don’t have access to a garage, park in a shaded area. This applies to not just your home. If you’re out and about, find parking garages or shaded areas with trees. The more your car is out of direct sunlight, the cooler it will stay.
SPF for Your Car: Not everyone has access to a garage, or a shaded area isn’t available, and we’re forced to park our beloved friend in the direct sunlight. Think of your car as you would your own body. We wear protective gear against the sun, such as sunglasses, hats, long sleeves and sunscreen. Your car needs the same TLC. Make sure your sunroof is closed so no sunlight is beating down into your car. You can purchase window sunshades that keep the heat out, as well as a dashboard sun visor. It’s also a good idea to cover your steering wheel with a towel or purchase dashboard and seat covers. If you’ve ever sat in hot leather seats, you’ve felt the pain of burning your bare thighs. Find all the necessary preventative protection there is and get it for your car. You won’t regret it when it comes to keeping cool.
Full of Hot Air: So far, we’ve parked our car in a covered area, but if not, we’ve used a sun visor and all the preventative measures we can to keep our car cool. Now comes the time to get back in your car after you’ve been at work all day or it’s been parked directly in the sun. Your car is still going to be hot. This goes back to planning ahead. If your car has a remote start, you can make sure your air conditioning is turned on before you get out of your car so that when you remotely start it, it’ll kick on. Start your car five to 10 minutes before you leave, and you’ll arrive to a cooled-down car. If your car doesn’t have a remote start, you can still help alleviate the heat. Open all the doors and roll down the windows. The quicker you can get the hot air out, the better. Turn on your car’s air conditioning, and instead of pulling the air from inside the vehicle, make sure to pull it from outside. The air inside your locked-up car is going to be way hotter than the air outside. Once your car is cooled down, then you can switch the circulation back on. It also helps to turn on the lower vents and close the top vents. As much as we want to blow that cold air in our face, it’s not cold yet. If you blow air from the lower vents, it will push all the hot air up and out of the car, allowing you to cool it down faster.
While there are many different ways to keep your car cool this summer, we hope these simple tips work for you. If you need a new or used vehicle, come see us at any of our six perfectly air-conditioned McLarty Daniel locations that serve NWA.

As kids, we’re constantly nagged to clean our rooms. “Make your bed.” “Change your sheets.” “Vacuum your floor.” “Pick up all that trash.” We’ve heard it since we were little to make sure to clean up after ourselves. As adults, we not only have to keep our rooms clean but our cars too. McLarty Daniel has new and used vehicles for sale with locations in Bentonville and Springdale to help cover all of Northwest Arkansas. We want to help you keep your car in its best condition long after you’ve driven it off the lot.
That new car smell is great, and we all want to keep it smelling that way for as long as possible. We make the solemn vow of “No food or drink in the car.” The first week you make it. By the second week, you’ve started having that first cup of coffee on your drive to work, along with a breakfast bar. Now that wrapper sits in the cup holder next to your dirty coffee cup.
By week three, you’ve had kids, your dog and the rest of the neighborhood swing by to take a ride in the new car. Week four, and it’s lunchtime. You’re late for a meeting, but your stomach is growling. You see the golden arches, and you can’t resist. You did it. You brought the dreaded fast food across the threshold and into the new car. Were those french fries worth the last few whiffs of that new car scent? Well, was it?
It’s week five now, and the new car smell is just a memory. Your nice carpeted floor mats have dirt, crumbs, and who knows what that is. The backseat looks like a lost and found. Don’t even open the trunk. We’re literally not gonna go there. Don’t worry, though. We’ve all been there. Like the famous saying, “The best-laid plans of keeping your new car as clean as possible…” or something like that is still true.
No matter if you have a new or used car, truck, SUV or van, we’re here to help. We’ll bring you back from that fast food bender and calm the storm that’s inside your Chevy, Ford, GMC, Jeep or Ram. Here are some do-it-yourself detailing tips to keep the inside of your car looking shiny, happy and new again.
5 Easy Steps to Do It Yourself (DIY) Detailing
Step 1: Take Out the Trash (Among Other Things)
Sometimes it’s easier just to start with a blank slate or, in this case, an empty dirty vehicle. Kick anything that doesn’t belong in your car, like backpacks, jackets, and the remnants of that fast food trash, to the curb. Remember, that’s what got you here in the first place. Once your car is clear of clutter, you can get down to business. One thing you don’t want to remove yet is your floor mats. We’ll explain later.
Step 2: Mess in the Middle: Clean Your Console & Cup Holders
We say start in the middle and work your way out. With your interior car detail cleaner of choice in hand, spray down the outside of the console and the inside of the cup holders. If your cup holders come out, spray those down and wipe them off. If you’re having a hard time cleaning those crevices in and around your gear shift or in the cup holder itself, here’s a tip. Use a cotton swab or put your hand in an od sock and press down so it picks up all the dirt in those hard-to-reach places.
Step 3: Wipe On, Wipe Off: The Dash, Steering Wheel, Seats & Doors
Now that you’ve cleaned the console and cup holders, it’s time to spray down the dash with the same interior car detail spray. It helps to use a microfiber towel to avoid streaking. Make sure to wipe down your display screen to get rid of all those fingerprints. Once your dash, radio and vents are dusted, you can wipe down your steering wheel and then move to the side doors. If they have a storage area, make sure to clean inside. Continue spraying as needed to wipe off dust and fingerprints as you go. When the front is done, repeat the same method for the back. You can also use a disinfectant spray or wipes to go over all surfaces once you’ve cleaned them. Now for the seats, if you have leather seats, you’ll want to find a leather cleaner that’s safe for cars. If you don’t have leather seats, you can use a damp cloth to lightly scrub your seats.
Step 4: Ain’t No Party Like a Vacuum Party
With everything inside the car clean, it’s time to vacuum. Now about those floor mats. In case any dirt or dust fell on the floor while cleaning the interior, the mats were there to catch it. Take the mats out of the car now, shake them off as best you can and then vacuum them on the ground. Once those are vacuumed, you can move inside and vacuum all floorboards, front and back seats and the console and cup holders. Vacuuming the seats, floorboards, and any other areas with fabric will not only keep your car clean but will help get rid of any odor. Here’s another tip for you. If you don’t want the carpet floor mats that come with your car to get dirty, you can purchase all-weather mats for your car. You can easily hose off any dirt and grime from your all-weather mats. Once they dry, you can use the interior car detail spray to keep them polished.
Step 5: The Trunk Stands Alone
Last but not least, you can’t forget about your car trunk or the cargo space in your SUV. It can become a catch-all for all that stuff you don’t want company to see. It’s basically a closet for your car. Take that mess and organize it so you make the most of your space. It should also be able to hold groceries or haul needed items. If you’re an optimist, think of it as keeping your trunk half full. We’ve got another tip for you. Purchase a trunk organizer to hold all of those things you might need: blankets, a first aid kit, and water. But most importantly, make sure you know what you need and where to find it if needed.
Hopefully, we’ve provided you with some detailing tips to keep the inside of your Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, Lincoln or Nissan looking brand new. Speaking of brand new, we’ve got a full selection of inventory for you to view. Whether you’re from Rogers, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge or Bella Vista, McLarty Daniel has new and used cars, trucks, SUVs and vans just waiting for you to drive off the lot.

Tips for Traveling with Your Dog

Road trips can be wonderful, but bringing pets along can be a hassle that outweighs any benefits they may bring. McLarty Daniel has put together some helpful tips for traveling with your dog or cat in order to keep your pet happy while also keeping everything on track.
Breaks
Stops give your dog plenty of breaks along the way so they can stretch their legs and avoid any accidents in the car.
Water
Make sure you give your pet plenty of water when you’re going to or from a hot location. Bring water and food bowls for your dog, and make sure to give them something to eat or drink at each rest stop. Because they fold up small and are easy to clean, collapsible bowls are a great option for road trips.
Safety
Keeping your dog safe in the car is an important but frequently overlooked consideration when families travel. Doggy seatbelts and collapsible dog boxes are both good options for keeping your pet in the backseat while you’re behind the wheel. With stricter pet laws in hotels and other lodging, the use of an animal cage can save the day!
Update Tags and Chips
One of the worst things that can happen on a road trip is being separated from a loved one, including your dog. Your pet’s tags and microchips should always be up to date so that if the unthinkable happens, you’ll be able to locate them quickly.
Prepare by Exercising
Similarly, tiring out your dog before hitting the road is a good idea. Spending some time on a walk or playing fetch with your pet before going on the road can save you hours of frustration. With exercise, your dog is more likely to relax and even fall asleep in the car, allowing you to focus on the road ahead!
DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN A HOT CAR
No matter how long it takes you to get inside the gas station or restaurant, never leave your pet in a hot car. Take turns going inside if necessary for bathroom breaks while the car is running, and look for restaurants or rest areas with outdoor areas where you can let your dog out for a bit!
When you follow these tips, traveling with your dog doesn’t have to be a nightmare, even on long road trips! At our six McLarty Daniel dealerships serving Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale, and Rogers, Arkansas, you’ll find the ideal vehicle for you and your dog, no matter the length of the journey.

McLarty Daniel Automotive is proud to announce that we have teamed up with the Children’s Advocacy Alliance of Benton County as a 2022 Signature Pinwheel Sponsor to raise awareness for child abuse right here in Northwest Arkansas. During the month of April, across the nation and throughout our local community, thousands of brightly colored, shining pinwheels adorn the lawns of local businesses and agencies, including four of our Bentonville locations.
Drive by any McLarty Daniel location in Bentonville this month, and you’ll see colorful pinwheels spinning in the wind – colorful reminders of the ongoing scourge of abuse and neglect that damages so many children and young people. The pinwheels will be displayed at McLarty Daniel Ford Lincoln, Nissan, Buick GMC, and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
The month of April is recognized as National Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. Many of our employees have young children at home, so this cause is very important to us, especially since the state of Arkansas ranked number one in the country for the number of adverse childhood experiences.
Opened on January 10, 2000, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County, also known across the state as CAC, has long provided a safe place to abused children under the age of 18 in a supportive, child-friendly environment. Abused children and their family members can receive the support they need to heal through many of the CAC’s comprehensive services. These include:
- A child-friendly and non-threatening environment
- Trained forensic interviewers (bilingual services available)
- Specialized Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and an on-site medical exam room
- Child advocates to assess family needs and provide follow-up, support, and referral services
- On-site counselors available to meet with the child and non-offending family members
All of these services are provided free of charge to the families who seek them by dedicated professionals such as interviewers, nurses, and even advocates.
Here at McLarty Daniel Automotive, we’re proud to support an organization that does so much to help vulnerable and abused children in our area. CAC helps break the cycle of abuse so these victims can heal through their services, care and support. If you would like to learn more about the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County or how you can help support them in their mission, you can visit their website today at https://cacbentonco.com.
Certified Pre-owned at McLarty Daniel

Certified pre-owned cars, also known as CPOs, are a category of used vehicles that have been inspected and repaired to meet or exceed the standards set forth by a dealership/manufacturer like us here at McLarty Daniel. If you are interested in purchasing a used vehicle, such as a van, truck, or SUV, you should look into this category. These days, the vast majority of major vehicle brands provide their customers with a CPO program. Although these programs have a few things in common, they are very different from one another depending on the brand. There is typically a correlation between the price of a vehicle and the amenities and perks that they offer.
What exactly does it imply when someone says that an automobile is “certified pre-owned”?
CPO vehicles are late-model automobiles that have minimal mileage and have not been significantly damaged in the past. When they are brought back to one of our six dealerships, an inspection is performed on them, and if necessary, they are reconditioned and repaired. They are made available to the general public with a guarantee that is supported by the original manufacturer. Any dealer who sells certified pre-owned vehicles could also provide additional perks, such as reduced interest rates on financing or waived initial payment requirements.
Before you buy, know that every certified vehicle from McLarty Daniel has gone through a checklist of 132 points:

What are the benefits of purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle?
The fact that CPO vehicles have low mileage, are relatively new, and have only been lightly used is the primary benefit of purchasing one. After being purchased brand new from auto dealerships, they are usually vehicles traded in by a customer once, or before, a lease is up. If you are concerned about whether or not your new purchase has been in an accident or has survived a flood, keep in mind that the majority of CPO programs sponsored by manufacturers do not include vehicles that have been in either of those scenarios in their coverage of certified pre-owned vehicles. Before the vehicle is driven off the lot for the second time, having it examined at the dealership can also help eliminate the need for significant repairs. If you want to get a second opinion, you can also seek an inspection from an independent garage; however, you may be responsible for paying for this examination on your own. Because the expense of one big repair may easily destroy a budget, purchasing a warranty is almost always a wise decision. There is also the possibility that CPO vehicles will come with warranties or extended warranties. For instance, if a pre-owned certified vehicle was originally sold with a factory warranty that covered it for three years or 45,000 miles when it was new, many dealerships that sell certified pre-owned vehicles will extend the coverage beginning on the day that the certified pre-owned vehicle is purchased once more. CPOs frequently qualify for more favorable financing conditions from the dealer, as well as from banks and credit unions. They have a lower likelihood of collapsing before the debt is paid off, making them a safer proposition from a financial perspective.
Are CPOs good deals?
Because of the inspections, warranties, and the fact that the vehicle is not very old and does not have a lot of miles on it, certified pre-owned vehicles are typically thought of as being good investments. This is because a significant portion of the risk that comes with purchasing a used vehicle has been eliminated. Consider pursuing the certified pre-owned route whether you want anything in the luxury class or something more affordably priced.
